Conselho

Estava eu correndo pra cima e pra baixo em Blumenau, em função de uma produção, quando me aparecem duas pérolas… ambas em sinaleiras e em muros que não teriam absolutamente nada a dizer. Seja lá quem tenha feito estas obras nestas paredes inóspitas, obrigada. Por me fazer pensar por uns momentinhos (nem tão breves assim, uma vez que fotografei e eles agora estão aqui…).

Este aqui de cima é o ‘conselho’ perfeito pra minha vida nesse momento. Chega de juízo! rs

I was preparing things for a shooting in Blumenau, when two pearls were shown to me… both on walls at traffic lights that wouldn’t have anything to say. To whoever have done these artworks on these inhospitable walls, thank you. For making me stop and think for a little while (not so little, as I’ve photographed and posted them here…)

The first one is the perfect ‘advice’ to this moment of my life. It says, in other words, that ‘Nous brings no joy’. So enough nous! …I’m not sure this word ‘nous’ is appropriate…

O segundo é um tanto mais agressivo, e portanto o que me fez gastar mais tempo pensando a respeito. Não consegui chegar a nenhuma conclusão. Acho que faz todo sentido quando comparamos com essa nossa vida mais que ocidental. Mas provavelmente não daria pra dizer o mesmo se estivessemos julgando lá de dentro. Ou diríamos, não sei. Mas me parece que nesse caso ‘o porão do vizinho’ é mais sujo e mais podre do que o nosso, e generalizar não é o esquema. Mas fez pensar e só isso já valeu.

Se alguém souber quem são os autores disso, por favor mandem pra mim que eu coloco os créditos! ;)

The second one is much more agressive and therefore made me spend more time thinking about it. Didn’t reach any conclusions. It says that the israelis are the new nazis. I guess it make all sense when we compare to our completely occidental life. But probably we wouldn’t say the same if we were inside the culture. Or would, I don’t know. But it looks to me that in this case “the neighbor’s basement” is dirtier and more spoiled than our own, and generalizing is not the right thing. But it made me think about and that was worth it already.

If anyone knows who’s the author of these, please let me know so I’ll put the credits!
